Privacy Policy
1. Who we are and what this covers
Cubehole is an indie game studio based in India. This policy explains what information our games and apps collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to all Cubehole games on Android (Google Play), our games on web platforms such as CrazyGames, and this website.
"We", "us" and "our" mean Cubehole. If you have a question at any point, email us at [email protected].
2. Information we collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location to play our games. The games and the services inside them may collect:
- Device information: device model, operating system version, language, screen size and app version.
- Identifiers: your device's advertising ID (on Android), app instance IDs created by analytics tools, and your IP address.
- Gameplay and usage data: levels played, session length, in-game progress and settings, and which features you use.
- Ad data: which ads were shown and whether you tapped them.
- Crash and performance data: crash logs and diagnostic information when something goes wrong.
- Purchase records: which in-app items you bought. Payment details are handled by Google Play, and we never see your card or bank information.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
3. How we use it
- To run the games, save your progress and deliver items you buy.
- To show ads, which keep our games free.
- To understand how the games are played, and fix bugs and crashes.
- To prevent fraud and cheating, and keep our services secure.
- To reply when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information. Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the EU and UK), we rely on your consent for personalized ads, and on our legitimate interest for analytics, crash reporting and security. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 5).
4. Third-party services
Our games use these services. Each collects information under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read:
- Google AdMob: Shows ads in our Android games. Privacy policy
- Unity Ads and Unity LevelPlay: Shows ads and picks which ad network serves each ad (mediation). Privacy policy
- Unity Gaming Services (Unity Analytics): Tells us how the games are played, so we can fix and improve them. Privacy policy
- Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics): Usage statistics and crash reports. Privacy policy
- Google Play Billing: Handles in-app purchases on Android. Privacy policy
- CrazyGames: Hosts our web games and shows the ads in them. Privacy policy
Through Unity LevelPlay and AdMob mediation, other ad networks may also serve ads in our games. Those networks receive the same kinds of ad data described above.
5. Ads and your choices
Ads in our games may be personalized (based on your interests, using your advertising ID) ornon-personalized (based only on general information like the game and your approximate country).
- Consent: in the EU, UK and other places where it is required, we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads. You can change your choice from the privacy settings in the game.
- Android: you can delete or reset your advertising ID in your device's Settings, under Privacy > Ads. Apps then can no longer use it to personalize ads.
- Web: ads in our web games are shown by the platform that hosts them, such as CrazyGames, which manages cookies and consent under its own policy.
6. Children
Our games are made for everyone, including children. We take extra care with young players and follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Google Play Families Policy, and similar laws.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
- For players identified as children, ads are non-personalized and ad partners are told to treat the request as child-directed. We only use ad services that are approved for apps that children may use.
- Analytics for children are limited to what is needed to run and improve the game.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
7. In-app purchases
Some games offer optional in-app purchases through Google Play. Google processes the payment and tells us what was bought so we can deliver it. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. On Android, you can require a password or parental approval for purchases in the Google Play settings.
8. How long we keep data
We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above. Analytics and crash data are kept for up to 14 months unless a shorter period is set in the service. Emails are kept until your question is resolved, and then for up to 2 years. Third-party services keep data according to their own policies.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct it or ask us to delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw your consent;
- receive a copy of it in a portable format;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
These rights come from laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. To use any of them, email [email protected]. Because we don't collect names or accounts, we may need your device's app instance ID to find your data. Many requests can also be made directly to the third-party services in section 4.
10. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information, and our partners use encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, though. Our partners may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. This website
This website does not use cookies or tracking, and does not show ads. Links to game platforms and the Unity Asset Store take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our games or the law change. The effective date at the top always shows the latest version, and important changes will be announced in the games or on this website.
